Museo Iloilo’s Puersado V will open today, January, 29, 2021 at 6:00 P.M.
The fifth edition of Puersado will feature the works of Ilonggo award-winning artists Jason Delgado, Noel Elicana, and Melvin Guirhem. The three were among the five Visayas phase finalist in the 2020 Philippine Art Awards.
Melvin Guirhem’s signature tapestry art rendered in fabric which he entitled “Failed Reconciliation” is the grand prize winner of the 25th Philippine Art Awards.
Delgado’s winning piece was entitled: “Baptism” while Elicana was “Engrave Yesterday’s Silence.”
Delgado and Elicana are architecture alumni of the Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U), an institution who produced many of Iloilo’s brightest and award-winning artists. The school is referred before as Iloilo School of Arts and Trades (ISAT) and later on Western Visayas College of Science and Technology (WVCST).
The masterpieces of the three Ilonggo artist were displayed at the Yuchengco Museum in Makati City.
