People’s Domain received DSWD-VI ‘Most Supportive Blogger’ for 2019

The peoplesdomain.net was counted as among the recipients of “Most Supportive Blogger” for 2019 from the Dept. of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD-VI).

A Plaque of Recognition was received by independent journalist, writer and blogger Ted Aldwin Ong together with Iloilo media workers during the “Media Writeshop cum Pasasalamat” held October 1, 2020 at MO2 Westown Hotel.

Handing over the plaque to Ted Aldwin Ong were DSWD-VI officials (L-R) Montessa Grino Caoyonan, Belen Gebusion, and May Rago Castillo.

The plaque reads: “in recognition of helping advocate for welfare of the poor and vulnerable sector through disseminating DSWD programs and services thus leading to the upliftment of lives and empowerment of Ilonggo households.”

This is the first recognition received by the blogger for his one-year old site who carry various news, advocacy issues, and opinion as a content.

In addition, the blogger was also awarded by a Plaque of Recognition for a role that he rendered as one of the Judges for the 2020 Salaysay ng Buhay ng Pamilyang Pantawid (Huwarang Pamilya), an annual regional search for recognition of exemplary families who are under the DSWD’s Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.

Ong has been an active evaluator and judge for this program in the last six years.  Both of the Plaques were signed by DSWD-VI regional director Ma. Evelyn B. Macapobre.
