Treñas is recognized as Resilience Champion

Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas once again brought pride to the city after receiving recognition as Resilience Champion. 

The Plaque of Recognition as a Resilience Champion was given to him for his dynamic leadership and unwavering dedication to achieving resiliency and sustainability in Iloilo City.

Treñas was cited for his firm commitment and active engagement in the Resilient LGU Program which continues to serve as an inspiration to all.

“Bugal ko guid nga ipabalo sa tanan nga ginkilala ang aton pagtinguha nga proteksyunan ang aton mga kasimanwa kag mapadasig ang pagresponde sa mga krisis,” said Treñas in local language.

The citation was given by the National Resilience Council during the 2022 Colloquium held March 23.

Iloilo City received several awards recently: the 100 percent compliance on reporting on vaccinations of over 1-million from the National Resilience Champion from the National Resilience Council co-chaired by Sec. Delfin Lorenzana and Mr. Henry Sy Jr. and also a recognition of having the highest number of Safety Seal certificates issued in a city.

“Bilang amay sang syudad, padayon ako nga nagatinguha nga masulong ang kaayuhan sang akon mga pumuluyo kag nalipay guid ako nga ginhatagan ako Plaque of Recognition bilang Resilience Champion sa akon kawsa nga mangin resilient kag sustainable ang aton syudad halin sa National Resilience Council 2022 Colloquium,” conveyed Treñas to the city’s constituents.

Ginsigurado ko guid nga indi mapabay-an ang aton mga kasimanwa labi na guid sa sini nga pandemya kay importante ang kada kabuhi sang akon mga pumuluyo. Indi ko gusto nga mabudlayan kag masakitan sila,” stressed by the chief executive. 

“Ang akon pag-alagad nagapadayon para sa buwas-damlag sang akon mga pinalangga nga mga Ilonggo,” Treñas concluded.
